The British Fantasy Society announced Stumar Press on their website.
"Stumar Press is a new independent publisher; its first publication is the Derby Scribes 2011 Anthology – eleven short stories by Simon Clark, Conrad Williams, Neal James and members of the Derby Scribes writing group.
"The aim of the imprint is to publish horror and fantasy fiction, primarily as eBook editions available for the Kindle and via Smashwords on a variety of other platforms. Print book editions for some of Stumar Press’s titles will also be made available. Focussing on short stories, Stumar Press is looking to publish both collections and anthologies, and is currently inviting author pitches. The Press is also interested in publishing an eBook version of previously published print edition short story collections where the author has retained copyright and no eBook edition exists."

Sara-Jayne Townsend blogs about her forthcoming short story collection "Soul Screams" - to be published in 2012 by Stumar Press.
Sara-Jayne says, "I am pleased to be able to announce that my next publishing project is in the pipeline. A collection of my short stories, with the working title of SOUL SCREAMS, will be released as an e-book and POD version, with a scheduled publication date of February 2012.
"The anthology will contain previously published short stories, as well as some unpublished ones. They are all horror-themed, but much of my earlier work dealt with psychological horror rather than supernatural horror, and characters in very dark places. It’s not going to be an uplifting read, put it that way. Unlike my novels, my short stories rarely end happily.
"I am very excited about working on it."
Stumar Press are delighted to have Sara-Jayne Townsend onboard and are excited about publishing Soul Screams in 2012.
